Photofestival, the annual exhibition circuit dedicated to fine-art photography, returns from April 20th to June 20th 2017, and will be featured in exhibition spaces across the entire metropolitan area.

Now in its 12th edition, Photofestival continues on its growth path, consolidating its role as a highly significant event in the panorama of Milan’s cultural offerings.

Confirming its effective tried and tested formula – showcasing the best contributions to the world of photography in the space of two months, which in 2016 amounted to 120 exhibitions – the goal for the next edition and for the future is to strengthen the project, thanks to new promotional tools and an even broader scope.

Set in the framework of Milan’s increased significance as a touristic and cultural centre, Photofestival will be an event that will create a dialogue with sectors external to the world of photography, engaging hotels, entertainment venues and showrooms.

The catalogue, with a print run of 30 thousand copies, will be in dual language (Italian / English), and will be distributed both in all the exhibition spaces and in the city’s most iconic sites, to elicit the interest of the wider public.

As well as being entered in the catalogue, where a full page will be dedicated to each exhibition, the initiatives that will adhere to Photofestival will be featured on the milanophotofestival.it website, an effective communication tool open to all ventures within the world of photography, and will be promoted on social media channels. The activities carried out by the press office will provide additional visibility to the exhibitions that will join the circuit.

Photofestival is promoted by AIF – Associazione Italiana Foto & Digital Imaging and can count on the support of Unione Confcommercio Milano and of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan. But the goals that AIF has set itself to ensure that the event reaches an increasingly important international dimension require a major effort, beyond that which has up to now been fielded.

All the protagonists of the world of Art and Photography interested in participating in Photofestival 2017 may contact the secretariat through the  email address: segreteria@milanophotofestival.it.
