19:35 is a project of dialogic communication between image and poetry, between Paolo Terlizzi and Marco Russo, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Irpinia earthquake. If at first glance this reportage seems to portray an urban exploration of abandonment, its story is instead much deeper. In Terlizzi’s 23 photographs, there are many chapters: Nature inexorably taking back what was taken from her, rooms that become woods, branches emerging through windows, boundaries that are no longer such. They also depict institutional neglect and the difficulties of living in a harsh territory.
