An immersive journey into the heart-breaking beauty of the Amazon rainforest, between the two threads that bring this exhibition to life: its spectacularly luxuriant vegetation and the daily life of the indigenous peoples inhabiting it. On the one hand, we find the landscape with aerial views of the forest, the particular air humidity system that creates flying rivers, the mountain ranges, the forest and the stunning archipelago made up of thousands of islands dotting the Rio Grande. On the other, the 12 indigenous groups portrayed by Salgado. Seven years’ work not only to offer stunning images, but also – and above all – to raise widespread awareness as to the preservation of a heritage threatened with destruction.
