Finarte’s photographic auctions are accompanied by online catalogues that add critical texts on the history of the authors and their poetics to the indispensable information on the lots. But they are also preceded by real exhibitions consisting of the photographs that will go up for auction displayed in their spectacular premises. In this session, to name but a few, Giacomelli, Galimberti, Mulas, Ventura, Ghirri, Fontana, Witkin, Erwitt, Sidibè, Shore among other international artists. Because Finarte does not only intend to play the role of intermediary between principals and collectors but also to be a place of learning, in-depth analysis and cultural debate.
