If you think of a border, you think of a limit. A “You can’t cross here”.
But the border is a demarcation line: it limits in intention, but not in deed. The photographers of the Freecamera group have given their personal interpretations of the idea of the border, playing with nuances, imagining doors, windows, walls and therefore elements that can be crossed, that grant, even though limiting it, space to human presence. The border imagined and interpreted by the photographers becomes a malleable metaphysical element, an immaterial surface subject to whims, education, culture.
