Two photographers dwell on the object that, more than any other, has overwhelmingly asserted itself in our lives, changing our first approaches to other people: the facemask. Galli and Rebecchi’s reportage investigates the folds of everyday life, where the facemask has imposed itself as a necessity, sometimes adapting, sometimes dictating new ways of dressing. Almost always determining the relationship, visual and otherwise, between people. Through these photographs one can explore the stories of those who live behind that piece of fabric, between loneliness, relationships and friendships.
