Looking up at the sky for signs of reality and looking towards the horizon seeking those same signs elsewhere, in a reflection, in a duplication, in more shadows. Dely and Bombonera succeed in exploring the transience of memory in their delicate, dreamlike photographs. They do this by managing to create impalpable atmospheres thanks to the use of photographic film and the technique of double exposure. This technique creates unexpected juxtapositions, combining portions of the world that are now new, now surprising, now mutable.
