Vasco Ascolini’s photography is about human figures that become performance. Ascolini started out as a stage photographer and then moved on to sculptures, architectural elements and cultural heritage. The common thread was always beauty that shows itself, mobile or immobile, which the photographer is able to capture thanks to his skill in giving life to artifice. On display are 25 vintage photos selected from three of the themes dearest to the Reggian master: sculpture, theater scenes, and images of places. Thinking about it, in his works there is never a real human being, yet they are images full of humanity.
