Photographer Giovanni ‘Gianfranco’ Candida is also known in Milan as Walls of Milan. In recent years, the Milanese urban artist has focused on the urgency of representing the humanity of dissent and self-assertion. In these thirty photographs of pure black and white reportage, Candida depicts the solidarity activities of the Voluntary Emergency and Mutual Aid Brigades, the Fridays for Future, trade union, feminist and student demonstrationsas well as peace marches.
