For Didoni, history is also made up of those marks on the skin that are called scars and that, like writing, tell a story. The lives on which the scars rest become an opportunity to speak about important themes such as sexual identity, self-acceptance, bullying, self-harm, violence. Sometimes they are an expressive choice, often they are the consequence of accidents or operations. There are no faces, only bodies- and therefore we can consider these as portraits of life in which skin color, social class and gender do not influence the fate of a wound. An exhibition that outlines a journey that, though studded with obstacles, shows how painful events can be overcome.
