That of Anelli and Rizzo is not only a still-life project, but an investigation that aims to strike the observer: their creative process is not only technical but also ethical. Drawing on the work and writings of the essayist Noam Chomsky, the photographers want to give a representation of food with a moral impact. Based on the desire to reveal certain aspects of the food production chain (which are wider and more far-reaching than we think), the photographers have used their creative interpretation to render images that desecrate the role of food in society and encourage the observer (and the consumer) to adopt an ethical and responsible approach to consumption.
