“It snowed last night!” or ” The sky promises snow” are two statements that always foreshadow a magical metamorphosis of the known landscape.
The two photographers, Gianni Durello and Romano Campalani, ventured into the snowy landscape with completely different gazes and approaches. Campalani adopted an aerial perspective, crystallizing the daily activities of the city, where a muffled, almost fairy-tale atmosphere is contrasted with the law of speed and productivity. Durello, using black and white, restores the silent candor of urban parks, that evoke fantastic and surreal landscapes. Two different ways of dealing with white and the life it can help (dis)cover.
