An all-round photographer capable of expressing himself on several levels, Antonio Grassi has always considered research not as a possible expressive variant but as an irreplaceable point of reference to be reckoned with. The two works presented here are an essential synthesis but also a precious testimony of the important reflections he left with us. What Manifesti and Borderline have in common is the sense of time. If in the first case Grassi reinterprets with torn posters a theme inaugurated in the post-war period by Paolo Monti, in the second one he explores places that appear not in the fixity of the single image but in a sequence that changes them every time.
