Luigi Erba’s donation to the Sistema Museale Urbano Lecchese is an occasion to reread the past of a territory, to look at the artistic journey of a photographer and to give life to new images. The fund is made up of circa seventy photographs taken from 1970 to 2021, subdivided into themes: “Iconography of memory”, “Landscape ex landscape-photoindustry”, “Far from time”, “Morterone and the poetic sheet”, “The mountain rediscovered”, “The languages and the city”, ” Resurfaced images”. The “Riprovini” section offers rediscoveries of photographs from the past in a contemporary key. Because the archives of the past can be the light of the future.
