Francesca Meana’s photographs are, concretely, the outcome of the superimposing of several ones, taken digitally but with a profoundly pictorial afflatus. In her intention, however, they are the result of a long reflection, starting with the realization that we live in a ‘photographically polluted’ world. Meana works with images and emotions, juxtaposing and superimposing several photographs, in order to create ‘paintings’, where each photograph turns into a brushstroke capable of composing a work evoking, through a single image, sensations and memories of a place or a specific moment.
