In Laura Turco’s photographs, there are multiple traces: they are human, they are emotional, they are excerpts of life, they are historical relics, they are glimpses into worlds that open onto the past. She photographs abandoned places, environments are now deprived of that which was their function. But the traces that Turco manages to capture enable, for an eternal moment, an imaginative process that allows the observer to populate places that have been forgotten and abandoned in a distant past with animated and vital elements.
