Venice and Milan are two cities captured by Enrico Camporese not in their differences, but in their peculiarities. For the author, the concept of going and returning that unites Milan and Venice is more a state of the soul that is made up of memories, emotions and curiosity: to go is both to take one’s city with one and to leave it, to return is to discover something of oneself changed by the place experienced. His photographs therefore tell of two distinctive realities, made up of history, nature, architectural details, life paths, people- inhabitants and wayfarers, fleeting or static. 18 photographs for 18 ways of looking, between reality and metaphysics, at two cities.
