The origin of this exhibition is multiple. In the beginning there was the atavistic pull towards human nature. Then there were those who theorized, becoming mouthpieces for this attraction. Walden and his life in the woods have inspired many men, including a distant relative of the photographer, who lived at the beginning of the 1900s. A box containing Thoreau’s book and some old photographs have reached Alice Jankovic who, in her desire to tell this distant story, has recreated the relationship between man and the forest in metamorphic images. The project is part of the series Plural Visions – three young photographers and their emotions.
