Nepal, anno 2015: la terra trema e il paese viene quasi raso al suolo. In migliaia persero la vita. Oggi centinaia di anziani e bambini sono destinati a una vita di schiavitù e in un luogo dove tutto è da ricostruire lavorare in una fabbrica di mattoni è funzionale a tutto: a garantirsi un pasto quotidiano
e ad avere un lavoro prima di tutto. Mauro Scarpanti con il suo reportage documenta un viaggio in Nepal durante il quale ha vissuto con i lavoratori della fabbrica di mattoni. Nonostante le condizioni estreme in cui sono costretti a vivere interi nuclei familiari, il fotografo ne racconta i gesti quotidiani con scatti capaci di dare loro dignità e bellezza.
Nepal, 2015: the earth shakes and the country is almost razed to the ground. Thousands lose their lives. Today hundreds of elderly people and children are destined to a life of serfdom: in a place where everything has to be rebuilt, working in a brick factory is functional to everything: to ensure a daily meal and to have a job first and foremost. With his reportage, Mauro Scarpanti documents a trip to Nepal during which he lived with the brick factory workers. Despite the extreme conditions in which entire families are forced to live, the photographer recounts daily gestures with images that give them dignity and beauty.
