Il libro è un attore su un palcoscenico vuoto di una pièce senza nome. Poco importa chi è il suo autore. È un vecchio volume, sempre lo stesso, con le pagine aperte, che Marco Brusati ha colto da più punti di vista. Alcune immagini sono dedicate a un manoscritto antico, chiuso, in cui sono le tracce del tempo, della memoria, della storia. Le gale leggiadre sono posate sulla copertina in pergamena di pelle. È limitativo definire queste immagini still life, sono piuttosto ritratti in cui si colgono i gesti, i movimenti leggeri delle pagine che si muovono, dando vita a geometrie sempre diverse.

The book is an actor on an empty stage of a nameless play. It does not matter who its author is. It is an old volume, always the same, with open pages, which Marco Brusati has captured from many points of view. Some images are dedicated to an ancient, closed manuscript, which encompasses traces of time, memory and history. The graceful ties are laid on the leather parchment cover. It is limiting to define these images as still-lifes: they are rather portraits which capture the gestures, the light movements of the moving pages, giving life to always different geometries.
