Quando si dice censimento, si pensa automaticamente a dati e ad aride statistiche. Il lavoro di Alessandra Fuccillo è invece un censimento fotografico fatto con il cuore. Un cuore basato sul racconto antropologico e sociologico degli abitanti di Borgo Ticino, quartiere di poco più di 5000 abitanti in provincia di Pavia. Il lavoro nasce all’interno del progetto Borgo Attivo, ideato da Ains Onlus, per il quale molti borghigiani si sono prestati: i ritratti sono stati realizzati all’interno delle abitazioni e dei negozi, raccontando i luoghi privati e pubblici che caratterizzano un quartiere popolare con tutti i suoi personaggi.
When people say census, they automatically think of data and dry statistics. The work of Alessandra Fuccillo is instead a heartfelt photographic census, based on the anthropological and sociological stories of the inhabitants of Borgo Ticino, a neighborhood of just over 5000 inhabitants in the province of Pavia. The work is part of the Borgo Attivo project, conceived by Ains Onlus, to which many townspeople have lent themselves: the portraits have been taken inside their houses and shops,and describe the private and public places that characterize a residential neighborhood filled with characters.
