Avvicinandosi a un fiore ci si stupisce della quantità di dettagli, dalle sfumature alla texture. Parallelamente, la fotografia digitale è un insieme di pixel quadrati che il nostro cervello riunisce in un’immagine. Bartoli agisce così nel suo processo di creazione: ingrandisce un’immagine sino al limite concesso dalla tecnologia per ottenerne una astratta i cui protagonisti sono i pixel. Selezionando singole parti e ritagliando le stampe si compongono dei polittici in cui ogni parte rappresenta comunque il fiore e solo la fantasia può ricomporre ogni singolo fiore di questa serie. Un tributo alla bellezza della natura e al potere immaginativo della mente umana.

When approaching a flower, one is astonished by its details, from colour nuances to texture. In parallel, digital photography is a set of square pixels that our brain brings together in an image. Bartoli’s creative process is inspired by this: he enlarges an image to the limit allowed by technology to obtain an abstract characterised by its pixels. By selecting single parts and cutting out the prints, he creates polyptychs in which each part represents a flower which can only be put back together through imagination. A tribute to the beauty of nature and the imaginative power of the human mind.
