La pittura crea l’armonia, la fotografia può individuarla nel reale. È con questo approccio artistico ed empirico che Di Maio osserva Milano. Attraverso la contemplazione del reale Di Maio compone gli elementi urbani interpretandoli e assemblandoli negli elementi linguistici che li costituiscono: l’armonia si realizza nella quiete, nell’equilibrio di rapporti equivalenti, nella ricerca di una prospettiva ben riuscita, nella rappresentazione di una sezione aurea laddove non ce la aspetteremmo.
Painting creates harmony, photography can identify harmony within reality. It is with this artistic and empirical approach that Di Maio observes Milan. Through the contemplation of the real, Di Maio rearranges urban elements, interpreting and assembling them in the linguistic elements that constitute them: harmony is achieved in calm, in the balance of equivalent relationships, in the search for a successful perspective, in the identification of a golden section where we would not expect it.
