L’arte del Novecento ci ha liberato dalla schiavitù del figurativo: non ci dice più cosa stiamo vedendo, ma ci offre sollecitazioni e spunti perché attraverso lei possiamo costruire una nostra immagine visiva. Allo stesso modo Simone Nervi con le sue fotografie, partendo da scenari a noi consueti, va a offrirci una serie di sollecitazioni per creare riflessioni e pensieri collegati al nostro mondo contemporaneo.

The art of the twentieth century has freed us from the slavery of the figurative: it no longer tells us what we are seeing, but offers us stimuli and cues so that we can build our own visual image. In the same way Simone Nervi, with his photographs, starts from scenarios that are familiar to us and offers us a series of stimuli so we can generate reflections and thoughts connected to our contemporary world.
