La cianotipia è una tecnica che esiste dagli albori della fotografia. Tutt’oggi esercita grande fascino per quei suoi viraggi unici e riconoscibili color blu di Prussia. Laura Di Fazio osserva piccole composizioni discrete di fiori, frutti, ricordi di viaggi, libri e chincaglierie, tutte quelle cose cioè che popolano le nostre stanze e abitano i nostri giorni. In questi still life contemporanei, realizzate proprio con la tecnica cianotipica, si ritrova il senso di un genere caro a chi disegna, dipinge, scatta. Il senso dello sguardo che si posa e riabilita ciò che vede attraverso l’immagine.

Cyanotyping is a technique that has existed since the dawn of photography. Still today it exerts great fascination for its unique and recognizable Prussian blue veins. Laura Di Fazio observes small discreet compositions of flowers, fruits, memories of travels, books and trinkets, all those things that populate our rooms and live in our days. In these contemporary still lifes, realized with the cyanotypic technique, one can find the sense of a genre that is dear to those who draw, paint, and take pictures. The sense of the gaze that lingers and rehabilitates what is seen through the image.
