Questa ricerca che indaga la forma e i colori di materiali che la ripresa ravvicinata rende quasi astratti, nonostante siano concretissimi, parte da una riflessione che l’autore fa partendo dall’antichissima visione di un “materialista dell’antichità”: quell’Anassimandro di Mileto che nel VI secolo a.C. aveva immaginato che il mondo fosse generato da una materia prima infinita e  indefinita, l’àpeiron, da cui per colpa degli uomini si sono staccate coppie di contrari come la vita e la morte. Pensando a questi elementi le fotografie assumono un valore non solo estetico e inducono a pensieri profondi. E si generano anche abitanti di un mondo contemporaneo con cui ci confrontiamo, come Nuova Eva e Nuovo Adamo.

This investigation explores the shape and colours of materials that, even though very concrete, are rendered almost abstract in close-up shots. It is born from a reflection that the author makes on the very ancient vision of a “materialist of antiquity”: Anaximander of Miletus, who- in the sixth century B.C.- had imagined that the world was generated by an infinite and indefinite raw material, the àpeiron, from which, because of men, couples of opposites such as life and death detached themselves. It is by thinking about these complexities that the photographs on show take on a value that is not only aesthetic, and that leads to deep reflections.  And inhabitants of a contemporary world are also generated, with which we are faced as New Eve and New Adam.
