Permanenza: ciò che rimane nella natura stessa delle cose quando vengono abbandonate, quando il tempo, la corrosione, l’azione degli elementi, incide la propria presenza creando qualcosa di nuovo, immutato nella sua essenza ma trasformato nella sua forma. Le fotografie, dettagli di bellezza laddove non ci si aspetterebbe di trovarla, sono state scattate durante un viaggio a Pantelleria: Elena Parisi però si è concentrata sul rigore della ricerca, sulla minuzia del particolare, umano, minerale, vegetale, naturale. Un viaggio alla scoperta del dettaglio che è anche indagine sul sé.

Permanence: what remains in the very nature of things when they are abandoned, when time, corrosion, the action of the elements, affect their presence by creating something new, unchanged in its essence but transformed in its form. The photographs, details of beauty where one would not expect to find it, were taken during a trip to Pantelleria: Elena Parisi, however, focused on the rigor of research, on the detail of the human, mineral, vegetable, natural particular. A journey to discover the details that is also a journey into the self.
