La fotografia non deve necessariamente mostrare, nemmeno svelare o rilevare. Spesso la fotografia suggerisce senza palesarsi. È il caso delle fotografie di Luparia che punta l’obiettivo verso il paesaggio collinare piemontese che rimane sfocato. Il paesaggio, solo vagamente suggerito, lascia che le sue forme si definiscano nella mente dell’osservatore che può ravvisarci colline, natura o anche forme femminili, le stesse evocate da Pavese nei suoi romanzi. I particolari esistono solo nell’immagine mentale che l’osservatore sarà spinto a creare.

Photography does not necessarily have to show, nor even reveal or detect. Often photography suggests without manifesting itself. This is the case of Luparia, who aims his lens at the hilly Piedmontese landscape that remains blurred. The landscape, only vaguely suggested, allows its forms to be defined in the mind of the observer who can read into them hills, nature or even feminine forms, the same evoked by Pavese in his novels. The details exist only in the mental image that the observer will be pushed to create.
