Elements that may appear distant from one another are drawn together: the classic paint-like quality and somewhat Flemish aesthetics with lights set against black backgrounds in the still-lifes dedicated to lights and subjects are paired with an innovative technique of photographic image acquisition, along a pathway of constant research on the essence and the mystery of things. Elements that cannot be represented without metaphors or subliminal suggestions identifying them, via a mysterious and motionless reality that the photographer draws from the metaphysical school of De Chirico.
