Andrea Rossi’s is a particular declination of Street Photography. At the center of his project there is the Green Dragon, the typical fountain, affective symbol of Milanese people. But it is not the only subject. In Rossi’s vision the Green Dragon is always at the center of a wider shot so that the emphasis is given to the context rather than to the subject. The result is a wide image, neither forced nor bound only to the presence of the Green Dragon, which goes beyond Street Photography to portray different corners of Milan, like small postcards of the city that have “a little fountain in the middle”.
